There are several places on Earth where you can observe the moon. For instance, you can go to Pic du Midi in the French Pyrenees, where NASA scientists took pictures of the moon from. Lava Flow Campground

You can also stay at Craters of the Moon National Monument, which has 51 campsites. This campground is near the park’s visitor center. Guests should plan to arrive at least an hour before sunset to experience the night sky. Camping in this park is very unique, but be prepared for extreme weather conditions.

The campground is located on US Highway 26. The campground is very close to the highway, but it’s also far enough away to offer privacy. A small group of campers can stay here without having to deal with the noise and traffic of the highway. It’s also recommended that you make a reservation in advance for this campground.

There are several other places you can visit in Moon, but you shouldn’t forget about the lava caves. You can explore the lava tubes on the Craters of the Moon Caves Trail, a two-and-a-half-mile-long trail. It’s easy to get to Buffalo Cave and Indian Cave, which are accessible via the Broken Top Loop Trail. The Indian Cave is the largest tube in the park, measuring 30 feet tall and 800 feet long. Taurus-Littrow Valley

The facility also helped NASA test oxygen compatibility. The facility was nearly closed after the Apollo 1 command module exploded in 1967, killing three astronauts. However, the facility reopened after Apollo 17 returned to the moon. During the mission, Harrison Schmitt, a New Mexico native, was one of the astronauts.
